Memory cards or flash cards are reusable and come in different types. I wouldn't be overly concerned about the type since that will be dictated by the camera you chose. Although the card capacity is of concern since the card you get with the camera will not store many photos and you will need to purchase a larger capacity card. When you plug your digital camera into your computer, the contents of the camera memory card will appear much like the contents of a photo CD. You will see folders and your photo files. After transferring your photos to your computer, it is a better practice to delete your photos using your camera rather than your computer.
